The Tiny Mile is located in Old Bar on the Mid North Coast of NSW, approximately 3.5 hours from Sydney. Surrounded by nature and set along Berady Creek, it offers a secluded escape while still being close to beaches, walking trails, and local cafes.

Time stands still here so three nights feels like a luxuriously long and peaceful experience. Perfect is an understatement.
What an impressive little private retreat The Tiny Mile is. So glad we chose your stunning tiny home to celebrate Mick's 50th.
Such a phenomenal space to unwind from the daily hustle and bustle we call life. This experience has left us very well rested, relaxed and spoilt. The outdoor bath under the night sky is a refreshing and welcoming embrace to nature.
Nothing has been missed in this complete holiday home.
Relaxing in the sauna while having a view of the river is absolutely spectacular.
And we can't forget to mention Munro the cheekiest horse ever. The gentle nudges, pushing of the stools and to the stamping of the foot if he is ignored is unforgettable humorous.  He doesn't mind a carrot and apple or two. We even made a special trip to Coles just for his supplies.
We highly recommend this destination to anyone that is looking for that special somewhere.
We must admit, we did feel pretty special after having the grand tour of the property..... wink wink 😉

Outdoor bath and sauna plus a fire pit and a canoe . Enjoying these things whilst having the fishing rod in the river. Amazing.
Shez is so friendly and welcoming and is happy to solve any concerns you might have.
Very comfortable cabin with books ,games and music speaker etc. available to use.

So peaceful and pleasant, just watching the birds Robins and Kingfishers flitting around with the cattle on the far bank staring you down and of course there is Munroe, the cheeky horse who ate my apple and nudged me in the back for more. Hi, I’m Sherinah, your Experience Host and Dream Holiday Destination Designer. For those who remember me from my days running the beautiful Farmhouse on Oxley, you’ll no doubt be aware of my love for all things hospitality, hosting and creating unforgettable opportunities for all kinds of people to come together with their families and make memories that last a lifetime.

Over the past year, we have been in the makings of a new destination experience “What’s Beyond The Mile” and of course, eager to welcome you in, while that continues to unfold, we have decided to utilise another picturesque corner of the 100 acre property for a mini getaway experience – The Tiny Mile, that will give you just a taste of what’s coming when our main property doors open.

For now, we can’t wait to welcome couples, single travellers and adventurous souls into our tiny house accommodation. It’s our pleasure to host you!

The Tiny Mile has been thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind, including water tanks, low-impact living, and a deep respect for the surrounding natural environment. It’s a place to slow down, disconnect, and reconnect with nature.

Aside from taking the canoes out, fishing, laying out a picnic or bunkering in and enjoying the surroundings, you can also venture out and explore the local area.

The incredible Wallabi Beach is just a five-minute drive from the property with regular surf comps and a picturesque lookout.

The Tiny Mile FAQs

How private and safe is the property?

What’s Beyond the Mile is set on 100 peaceful acres, with a mile-long driveway leading you well away from the main road. As your hosts, we live on the far side of the property — completely out of view — but we’re only ever a phone call away if you need us. Many of our solo travellers find this balance of privacy and nearby support reassuring.

The Tiny Mile is tucked quietly along the creek, sheltered beneath a grand old fig tree. As a working farm on a shared river, you may occasionally spot a tractor passing by or a small boat drifting along the water.

With no other buildings or lights in sight, nights here are filled with the magic of clear, starry skies and the soft sound of local owls calling through the trees — a truly tranquil escape.

Can I hold a wedding or event on the property?

Whilst we don’t yet have capacity to hold large events on the property, we are open to small intimate gatherings and have the ability to put up a marquee on the property. Full transparency of event details must be communicated and agreed upon prior to booking.

Alternatively, we are also very accommodating to elopements and love helping our guests craft the most sentimental experiences that they’ll cherish for a lifetime.

What if I need something during our stay?

As mentioned above, you will have your hosts’ contact details available upon your stay. Should you need anything, we are just a short drive away.

Is The Tiny Mile suitable for couples?

Yes, The Tiny Mile is designed as a romantic and private escape, perfect for couples looking to relax and reconnect.

Is the Tiny House suitable for children?

Our Tiny House Accommodation has one king-size bedroom and is suited to two guests with the option for a small cot for those with a young child.

*Please note that The Tiny Mile is also located by the open water of Berady Creekfront, so parents will need to be responsible for supervision at all times.

Do I need a 4wd to access the property?

Good news, you can access The Tiny Mile with a 2wd! The closest road is sealed and the mile-long driveway is unsealed but neatly kept with gravel.
